Jay Gipson purchased his first crane in 1969. Already a seasoned and certified crane operator working with structural engineers in Arkansas and Oklahoma, his goal of higher and heavier never wavered. He designed and engineered safety features into hydraulic cranes that were quickly noticed by a major crane manufacturer. He was summoned to the manufacturing facility to test the manufacturers upgrade as well as a new prototype. This operational information from his experience as an operator/ engineer was used by manufacturing engineers for incorporation into critical design safety.
Now, Gipson Crane Service, Inc., is operated and managed by Jay Gipson, and his two sons, James and Gary. Working out of multiple equipment yards located in the River Valley and Northwest Arkansas, a fleet of cranes, forklifts, trucks, and heavy haul trailers, with ancillary dirt equipment and other services available to obtain access to the most difficult to reach locations, including work inside plant facilities, Gipson Crane Service, Inc., is fully staffed to meet many specialized requirements.
